You don’t need a “new you” this year

Welcome to the Digital Marketing Made Simple Newsletter! (Formerly known as… well… something a little messier )
I renamed this newsletter intentionally, because that’s exactly what I want it to be for you:a grounded, human, non-overwhelming place to talk about digital marketing, websites, visibility, and building a business that actually feels like you.
And since this email is landing on January 1st, I want to gently push back on something that’s everywhere right now. Everyone is talking about becoming a new version of themselves.
New year.New you.New identity. New hustle.
But what if… we didn’t do that?
What if, instead of constantly comparing ourselves to who we were last year or who we think we should be next year, we focused on walking in integrity and truth with who we are today?
Because here’s something I’ve noticed over the last six months working inside Rebel Soul Media: Every single client I worked with had one thing in common. They genuinely want to do good. They want to help people. They want to build something meaningful.
And honestly? If you’re operating from that place; integrity, care, intention - you are already doing better than a lot of the icky, extractive, soul-less businesses out there. |
Going forward, Digital Marketing Made Simple will be a weekly place where we connect in community. And I mean actual community; not a one-way broadcast. I want you to hit reply. I expect emails back. Questions, thoughts, pushback, “hey Meg what about this?” - all of it. Some weeks, I’ll share what podcast episode or blog post is out. Other weeks, I’ll drop tangible, actionable tips you can use right away; everything from:
Simple. Useful. Human.
Which brings me to what I’m sharing this week New Podcast Episode: 9 Things Every New Entrepreneur Should Know Before Building a Website
If the word website makes your palms sweat; this episode is for you.
In this week’s episode of Analog Girls, Digital World, I’m breaking down the exact things I wish every entrepreneur knew before they touch Wix, Shopify, Showit, or start Googling “build website easy” at 11pm.
We talk about:
This episode is equal parts strategy, reality check, and permission to stop overcomplicating things.
You can listen to the episode here. It's also available in blog form for all you reader-rather-than-listen types.
And if you want support beyond the episode, you’ll find links in the show notes for:
I’m really pumped you’re here.
Hit reply and tell me what you’re working on right now. I’m reading every message.
With love and strategy, |
